Who Am I?
My name is James A. Stewart. I only use the A as my name is so bloody common that I need to try and differentiate myself somehow. I am a thirty-something Scotsman who… wait a minute, this sounds like I am writing for a dating website. Start again!
I write, a wee bit. At least that’s why I have created this blogroll. I work for a big company and do a small job as part of the big wheel. In the esoteric terms of the office hierachy, I am more important than others and much less important than a lot more others. Unlike many, work doesn’t make me depressed. Perhaps that because of my escape which is writing. Nothing irks me more than the ‘poor me’ people who ‘want to be’ but without the effort. I am not a great, or even a good writer. But I am on a path to improvement there and have had many breakthroughs in 2009.
So what else? I enjoy movies, golf and… not again, dating alert!
I am married with a beautiful family. My wife and son are amazing and I blessed with fantastic support and encouragement from brothers, sisters, parents and this is replicated and some more by my in-laws. I am balanced, happy and generally like to think of myself as a decent bloke. So, if you head over to the writing links you’ll see how this has manifest itself in some macabre writing. Don’t ask me why! Albeit, I don’t just write horror.
Outside of work and writing. I love to spend time with the boy and girl in my life, esp. travelling. I enjoy sports and all the usual men things like Yorkies and making lots of mess with power tools (actually, the last bit is a lie). I still stay in the village in which I grew up (Croy), which has many laudable traits.
So, that’s me. In a nutshell.
